Today we read:
Proverbs 29-31

-Food for thought day 336-

• Romans 15:1-3
• John 4:34

God’s love does not please itself, but looks after the best of others.

“Even if we believe that it makes no difference to the Lord whether we do these things, still we cannot just go ahead and do them to please ourselves; for we must bear the “burden” of being considerate of the doubts and fears of others-of those who feel these things are wrong. Let’s please the other fellow, not ourselves, and do what is for his good and thus build him up in the Lord. Christ didn’t please himself. As the Psalmist said, “He came for the very purpose of suffering under the insults of those who were against the Lord.”
Romans 15:1-3 TLB

We are not living for ourselves, but for Christ. Therefore, we must do things that are pleasing to Him. The same way, He denied Himself many things and lived His life to do the will of the Father who sent Him.

“Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:34‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s for this same reason, He sacrificed His life, for love’s sake, though we didn’t merit it that we may live.

We must do the same even when it causes us everything to keep loving people irrespective of their attitude.

Remember: Jesus didn’t die for His friends, but for His enemies.

Love is the key to victorious living!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!
