Today we read:
Proverbs 20-23

-Food for thought day 332-

• 2 Corinthians 5:21
• Hebrew 9:26-28

Most of the time people find it difficult to forgive, because of the evil that is done to them.

The truth is there is evil, that is why there is forgiveness. There is no evil done to man that Jesus has not paid for with His blood.

Jesus paid for the sins of all mankind. He became the sin offering for the sinner so that all sinners can be free from sin by accepting what He did on their behalf (Romans 5:15-19).

All the sins of the world was on Jesus when He hung on that cross. The truth is, the sin of this world is already forgiven, but for the sinners to experience the reality of it, they must accept what Jesus has done on their behalf.

That is why God’s word says: “For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Therefore, refusing to forgive makes you identify or become one with what you have been delivered from. Due to the fact that unforgiveness is a sin.

Therefore, when Jesus returns it’s no more for sin, but for judgment.

“For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:26-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The question is: ”Why judgment?”

The judgment goes to all who refuse to accept what Christ has accomplished on our behalf.

Also, why should you be judged for what Jesus is the solution to?

Remember: unforgiveness which is the opposite of love identifies you with the sinner.

Every step we make on earth is towards heaven or hell. Choose what you want!!!!
