Proverbs 5-10

Whenever your mind is conditioned in who you are in Christ, walking in God’s love will no more be a struggle but a lifestyle (Colossians 3:1-3).
The king is only confused when he doesn’t know who he is though born in royalty. It’s the same to all believers in Christ who don’t know who they are in Him.
The Word of God says: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2 KJV
Your mind must be renewed and conformed to the ways of God before you can really walk in love.
That is why God’s Word says: “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”
James 1:21 KJV
Therefore, the hindrance to walking in God’s love is your soul. Your soul needs to be restored from all the hurt and events experienced in your life before you got born again. Your mind still registers things done to you in your past. That is why God’s Word is needed to root out and plant in your mind God’s now information about your new identity in Christ. Until you totally give yourself to God, His Word and to the practice of it, walking in God’s love will be difficult.
For this reason, Paul said to Timothy: “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
1 Timothy 4:13, 15-16 KJV
You must learn to give attendance to God’s Word daily and only then will you be fruitful in walking in God’s love (Psalm 1:1-3).
Remember: it impossible to walk in God’s love when His Word is not dominating you.
Information brings transformation and transformation leads to conformation.
So be conformed to the image (Love) of Christ.
