James 4-5

-Food for thought day 285-

• Genesis 2:15-17

Love has its boundaries. The fact that you love people does not mean they are allowed to do whatever they want. Even God Himself set boundaries in dealing with Adam and Eve when He placed them in the garden of Eden. The boundaries of God in their life were an expression of His love for them. God was protecting them from a fall.

“And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The boundaries in love are for our protection not for the sake of control. Boundaries are good because it makes us know what is allowed or disallowed. Therefore, when boundaries are broken, it exposes what was in the heart of the one who breaks it.

For example, the Word of God says: “Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This text is given to us for the sake of love and protection so that we will no be a prey to the wiles of satan.

Remember: Love always has its boundaries.

Stay in your lane and respect the boundaries of God’s love, as you walk in it.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!!
