2 Chronicles 4
1 Corinthians 12-13
-Food for thought day 227-
• 1 Corinthians 10:27-29,32-33
• Hebrews 10:24-25
Love does not shipwreck the faith of others but stirs people up to continue in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 AMPC
It’s very important that we practice selflessness when it comes to walking in God’s Love. So that we don’t cause others to stumble due to our strong faith in God as compared to our fellow brethren in Christ.
The Word of God says: “In case one of the unbelievers invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is served to you without examining into its source because of conscientious scruples. But if someone tells you, This has been offered in sacrifice to an idol, do not eat it, out of consideration for the person who informed you, and for conscience’s sake– I mean for the sake of his conscience, not yours, [do not eat it]. For why should another man’s scruples apply to me and my liberty of action be determined by his conscience?
Do not let yourselves be [hindrances by giving] an offence to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God [do not lead others into sin by your mode of life]; Just as I myself strive to please [to accommodate myself to the opinions, desires, and interests of others, adapting myself to] all men in everything I do, not aiming at or considering my own profit and advantage, but that of the many in order that they may be saved.”
1 Corinthians 10:27-29, 32-33 AMPC
The Word of God admonishes us to consider the conscience of others as concerns our way of living. Therefore, if your lifestyle has a negative impact on your brethren in like faith, consider changing your decisions for the sake of their conscience, but not yours.
That is why love always considers others first and is always conscious of its environment before taking any action.
Remember: walking in God’s Love will not cause any man to stumble in the faith.
Always consider others before you act.
Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
Think and Act!!!!!
