Bible Study Plan 2019
Today we read:
-Food for thought day 108-
• Mark 9:38-39
• Numbers 11:26-29
The many divisions and strifes we experience among ourselves are due to the lack of walking in God’s love. The love of God gives birth to unity, not bigotry.
One day the disciples of Jesus Christ came to Him and said: “John said to Him, Teacher, we saw a man who does not follow along with us driving out demons in Your name, and we forbade him to do it, because he is not one of our band [of Your disciples]. But Jesus said, Do not restrain or hinder or forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in My name will soon afterward be able to speak evil of Me.”
Mark 9:38-39 AMPC
The reason why they complained is because the man who did this miracle was not in their group or denomination. They criticized the work God was using him to accomplish. However to their amazement, Jesus Christ refused to take sides, but stand in agreement to what the man was doing. People must not be in our click to have the same results we have. As long as they are fulfilling Luke 4:18 we must accept them and refuse to allow our ego to stand in the way.
“Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:3 AMPC
It’s about time we quit criticizing and learn to appreciate one another for fulfilling God’s purpose for His Kingdom.
“But there remained two men in the camp named Eldad and Medad. The Spirit rested upon them, and they were of those who were selected and listed, yet they did not go out to the Tent [as told to do], but they prophesied in the camp. And a young man ran to Moses and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying [sounding forth the praises of God and declaring His will] in the camp. Joshua son of Nun, the minister of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, My lord Moses, forbid them! But Moses said to him, Are you envious or jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them! [Luke 9:49, 50.]”
Numbers 11:26-29 AMPC
Love appreciates and does not bring division among the brethren.
Let’s learn to celebrate our differences in ministry, uniqueness, and compliment one another.
Give someone a compliment!
Many blessings in Jesus’ Name!
Think and act!!!!!
