Bible Study Plan 2020

Today we read:
1 Corinthians 14-15

God’s purpose is to bring all men to the knowledge of Christ.

The Word of God says:

“Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20-22‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Jesus keeps knocking on the door of our hearts to fellowship with us, but the reason why many can’t hear His voice is because they’re carnally minded. It’s impossible to be led by God when you’re not spiritual.

That is why Jesus said to Nicodemus:

“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus Christ at the time was the only one that was spiritual ( under the influence of the Holy Spirit). That is why we must desire spiritual things above carnal things by constantly yielding ourselves to the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1-2).

God wants all men to come to the knowledge of Christ. But without being tutored and led by the Holy Spirit, it’s impossible.

“Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed and set forth in Him, [He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth.”

Remember: you must constantly practice being in the Spirit to know the mind of God.

Open the door of your heart to Christ by mortifying the deeds of your flesh.
