Bible Study Plan 2020

Today we read:
1 John 1-4

-Food for thought 2020 day 52-

Scripture of meditation:
• 1 John 3:20

Every believer in Christ is born with a brand new conscience called the inward voice. The conscience of a born again believer is the voice of his recreated spirit. That voice in him, with the help of the Holy Spirit, makes sure he lives, acts and talks right.

The Word of God says:

“Whenever our hearts in [tormenting] self-accusation make us feel guilty and condemn us. [For we are in God’s hands.] For He is above and greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives and understands) everything [nothing is hidden from Him]. And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God, And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:20-22‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s important we listen to our conscience for this is one of the ways in which God guides us by His Spirit.

The Spirit of God indwells our spirits and is in constant fellowship with our spirit. Thus, the information gathered by our spirit through the Word or in times of fellowship forms the conscience of our recreated spirit. That is why when our spirit ministers to our soul (mind, emotions and will), through the inward voice in us, called conscience, we should always listen.

The Word of God says:

“But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things.

But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:20, 27‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The voice of our spirit called inward voice is birthed as a result of the information our spirit man receives from the Holy Spirit. That’s why we must have spiritual discipline (Romans 12:1-3) for us to easily follow the inward voice called conscience.

Remember: God can also guide you through the voice of your spirit, the inward voice called conscience.

Come under spiritual discipline so that your conscience will be a safe guide.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
