Bible Study plan 2020

Today we read:
Ephesians 3-6

-Food for thought 2020 day 15-

• Galatians 5:16-18
•‭‭ Romans‬ ‭7:23-25
•‭‭ Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬

When you allow the Spirit of God to direct your life through the Word of God, you will not satisfy the desire of the human nature (the flesh).

The Word of God says:

“What I say is this: let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature. For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do. If the Spirit leads you, then you are not subject to the Law.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭GNB‬‬

Due to this continuing struggle of the flesh in matters relating to fulfilling God’s will or being led by the Holy Spirit. You must identify the root of the struggle so that you know how to deal with it.

The Word of God exposes to us why this struggle and where it’s taking place.

“But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind, I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:23-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The battle of walking in the Spirit or doing God’s will is in the mind and the solution to it is to surrender your mind to the Word of God. Jesus Christ the Word is the solution to your mind.

That is why God’s Word says:

“I APPEAL to you, therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well-pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”

Remember: walking in the Spirit requires a complete surrender of your mind so that it can be renewed with God’s Word.

Surrender your mind to Jesus Christ!
